Sea World in San Antonio Labor Day Weekend

We went to San Antonio over Labor Day weekend for a much needed get-a-way! Thanks Bree, I will always be thankful for your generosity! We went to Sea World and did some shopping. We were able to relax and play with the kids quite a bit too. Even though we had delays on the way to SA and the way home, Brynlie did great on her first airplane ride! We only stayed a few hours at Sea World, which we thought was pretty good considering we took 2 two year olds :) They fed the dolphins, watched a killer whale show...Shamu would not come out and preform for us, but the other ones were awesome to watch. We tried to get them on a kiddie roller coaster, but they told us they were too little. After playing in the water park a bit it was time to head home for a N-A-P, which I don't think either of them napped the whole weekend. Boston and Brynlie had a ball together....and so did their Mommy's.

24 Month Old Check Up

Here are the stats for today's check up. She weighs 29 lbs. (79th percentile) and is 34 inches long (53rd percentile). Dr. Weed said he thinks she'll be about 5'8, which pleasantly surprised me! I'm not sure how she is perfectly average in height, yet all pants are too long. Her tubes are still in place and Dr. said if we can make it through the winter with them staying put we will be in good shape. She has outgrown her kidney reflux, and I was so happy to take her off the daily antibiotics. We are still batteling her Keratosis, but we were given some new medicines and advice to help with that. She got an A+ for the day.

Barbie Power Wheels

She's been scared of this thing ever since we got it. So tonight I told her I would push her on it, and while I was "pushing" she was hitting the button and got a little more comfortable riding it. Of course, it'll take a while to master the stearing and as you can see in the video she's not just full of patients with it yet! I honestly don't know why I'm wasting money on Dish Network, she is my entertainment from the time we walk in the door until the time she goes to bed. She's made huge strides with her speech, she's been putting words together and learning new ones everyday! I've decided to give the potty training a rest for a couple weeks. She's ready, just not interested. Imagine That! Somehow she has gotten stuck on the word poop, and right now EVERYTHING is poop.

Bust A Move

We went to a restaurant to sit on the new patio and eat dinner one night....well at least that was the original plan. They had a live band and once the band started playing Brynlie did not stop dancing. She danced for 3 hours, she didn't miss a song! I have no idea where she gets her rhythm from, because she's actually a good dancer! Of course, my show stopper had the entire patio in stitches, all eyes were on her. At the end of the night she found a little boy to dance with for her last dance. I can't wait until she's old enough to put her in dance classes.

Potty Celebration

I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now. Wish I wouldn't of shut down the blog I started for Brynlie's updates when she was in NICU. Better late than never....right. So today Brynlie finally used the potty. Hopefully the lightbulb went off for this girl, it doens't feel right to her yet. She tried to stop the stream with her hand and had an almost painful look on her face! Hopefully my ecstatic potty celebration was enough to convince her she was doing the right thing! Sea World pictures will be posted as soon as I get them!
