A Monumental Day

Yesterday Brynlie finished her very last session of speech therapy. Just one year ago she was only saying 5-8 words! I would like to share some examples of how far she's come. She can now say:
"Give it to me"
She will frequently follow up requests with "right now"
I've overheard her tell her baby "I'm going to beat your butt"(I swear on the bible I don't talk to my child like that, I have NO IDEA where that was picked up from)
"I not goin to wear tat, I wear tis"
"Not my bip bops (flip flops), I want tennie shoes"
Will yell "hold me, hold me, hold me" while following me around the house
"Holy Cap" Don't wanna say holy cap, it's a bad wurd.
Will cry and scream "I need more paci's" because one and sometimes two are never enough.
Since she now has her collection of Elmo DVD's memorized she will request a different be put in every 5 minutes. Goes something like this "I want Elmo ABC's", I start it and a few minutes later I hear "No, I want Elmo bicycle and butterflies", then "No, I want Elmo Pets" and you get the picture!
I will forever be so grateful to Mrs. Kate and Mrs. Stacy for all their hard work over the last year! HA
Last night she went to bed with NO PACI's, she asked for them once and I told her I didn't have any but would get her another baby to sleep with. I didn't plan on that being the case, but I really didn't have any. It would be nice if this lasts simply because when she's screaming for more paci's....I'm usually turning the house upside down looking for more because you would think the world is going to come to an end when she's tired and needs MORE paci's!! On the flip side, of course this has been tugging at my heartstrings, no more diapers, no more paci's, does that mean no more baby??? So then I started thinking well how would I like it if I were just stripped of something I loved and (thought) I needed. How would my life be without...say my blackberry, or flat iron, or lip gloss, or Yellow Box flip flops?!?!?! Immediately my chest started tightening with anxiety and I wanted to rush out of work to give her all her paci's back and stop at Wal-Mart on the way to get her some shiny new ones! Calm down, I'M KIDDING....well for the most part I am. Who can blame me, this is all very very sad. Next time I blink she's going to be starting Kindergarten, ouch I really felt the anxiety in my chest over that sentence.
Here's a picture of her watering, or should I say flooding her strawberries. When we went back outside to leave for dinner she said "Hey, where all my wader go?" Through my laughter I told her that the strawberries drank it all. I'm going to have to make sure I have a carton of strawberries in my fridge at all times, that is the only way I can convince her not to pick and eat the ripe ones right now! Course, we probably should because something has gotten into a couple of them. I told her "awe, someone ate a strawberry", and she looked at me and said "Mommy, you eatin' my strawberries?" I'm so glad we planted them, they are the first thing we tend to when we get home every afternoon!

Easter 2010

We had a fun and busy Easter weekend! We planted our very own strawberries in the front yard. I'm hoping they actually produce some so Bryn can pick, clean and eat her own! The child would turn into a strawberry if I'de let her! We went to our church easter egg hunt at Mills park on Saturday morning. She ate candy the entire day!! After church on Sunday we had lunch with the family at Gigi and Big Daddy's house.

Rhea Lana's

I had an outstanding Spring event! I sold 60% of my inventory, which is an awesome number and hit a record number at my pre-sale event! All my consignors were very happy with their checks and the event itself! From the fall event to the spring event the sale grew 60-65%. Of course, I won't be completely satisfied until it makes me enough money to quit my full-time job, hopefully that will be sometime next year.
I can't thank my family and friends enough for all your support and love in helping me operate the sale. I definitely couldn't do it without each one of you who unselfishly stepped up to give me a hand (or two)!! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!
